Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Fifth Annual Fauquier County Juneteenth Celebration!
Individuals and groups are invited to make a difference and show your support for this community celebration. 

This is a great opportunity to get to know your community members, learn more about Juneteenth, and earn hours towards your community service goals. 

Welcome back to previous volunteers and welcome to new volunteers.

Volunteer Sign Up

We are offering two Zoom Orientation sessions for anybody who wants to hear about the most important information in the Guidebook, as well ask any questions. Zoom sessions will be announced shortly.

DAY-OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

Logistics

Set-up tents and chairs, set up main stage, and communicate with safety and security team.

Vendor Liaison

Check-in vendors, show them to their assigned location, inspect site for compliance, and answer any on-site questions based on established policies and procedures.

Health and Wellness

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by proactively providing health resources. Medical professionals encouraged to volunteer based on specialized training.

Safety and Sanitation 

Coordinate with on-site security personnel and ensure site sanitization by routinely relocating waste to identified locations.

Entertainment: Children & Youth Activities

Coordinate children and youth activities by hosting on-site face painting, moon bounce, scavenger hunt, and other activities focused on promoting youth participation.

Entertainment: Stage Management

Coordinate vendors, talent, and equipment to manage an efficient and effective day of fun and entertainment on the Main Stage (A) or Secondary Stage (B).

Entertainment: Contests

Check-in contest participants and ensure they are in the right location during the contests and when winners are announced.
